GCSE Results Day 2026

We are delighted to be celebrating another stellar set of exam results with students and their families today. The exceptional commitment of students and staff is reflected in another record-breaking year, with all indicators well above the national averages. These results reflect the extraordinary level of academic excellence at the school.

A remarkable 44% grades were awarded at grades 9-7 across all subjects, with three quarters of students achieving a ‘strong’ pass (grades 9-5) in both English and Maths. 30% of students achieved 8 or more grades 9-7 in their results. This reflects not only their talent, but also their incredible commitment to their studies.

Headteacher Jill Silverthorne said, ‘These results are the accolade our students deserve. I am so proud of them all. It’s easy to focus on those with the top grades, but the results today for all groups of students across the full ability range – boys, girls, those with additional needs and those socially disadvantaged – will be the envy of most schools in the country.

‘This success is also, of course, due to the consistently high standards of teaching and learning. I cannot thank the staff team enough for their commitment and dedication. Today’s results are no accident: they are the outcomes of careful, thorough work which has taken place every day for the past two years.

‘I also want to pay tribute to the pastoral support our students have received. For many, today’s successes are because of the care and guidance they have received throughout their time with us.

‘Celebrations today will no doubt continue for some time with our students, their families and staff. We wish them all the very best as they build on this amazing platform for the next stage of their education.’
