Our pastoral structures allow students to flourish with dedicated members of staff supporting the wellbeing of our young people.  The success of this school lies in the high levels of respect shown between all members of the community.

For students in Years 7 – 11, their form tutor is their first port of call.  This member of staff sees them every morning and supports their personal development through form time activities.  Our full time, non-teaching Heads of Year are based in a central office and available to students throughout the day.  Heads of Key Stage 3 and 4 co-ordinate the pastoral provision for all students, working closely with the SENDCo and Deputy Headteacher (Pastoral, Safeguarding and Wellbeing).

As students move into the Sixth Form, they are supported by mentors who run tutorials for Year 12 students and provide one to one guidance for post 18 options in Year 13.  The Sixth Form Leadership team, which includes a designated pastoral officer, oversees the broad wider curriculum and provide opportunities for students to develop their interests and talents through a wide range of societies, trips, events and leadership roles.
