We instructed an external specialist to work with us to ensure we comply to the Equality Act of 2010. They have identified obstacles to access, given options for removing these, and have made clear recommendations to us of where we can make reasonable adjustments to our school environment.
As part of this process they visited our site and conducted an access audit which involved inspections of our outside areas, routes within school and internal circulation. The audit included classrooms, large spaces e.g. main halls, corridors, toilets, staff areas and emergency exits. School literature, including our website is also considered.
