Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility.                                         Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023

Safeguarding means protecting children from abuse and maltreatment. It is an essential part of our duty of care to all students and staff. We take our responsibility seriously to provide a safe environment in which children can learn. Our school is compliant with all statutory guidance in relation to child protection.

We recognise that our school is part of a wider safeguarding system. We work closely with families and with a range of agencies to promote the welfare of children.

We are never complacent with regard to safeguarding, and are vigilant in all that we do. We keep an open mind, and always accept that "it could happen here".  All of our actions are guided by what is in the best interests of each child.

All staff receive regular training above and beyond statutory requirements to ensure our practice is as robust as it can be.

Designated Safeguarding Lead: Mrs Clare Smith

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead: Mrs Jacinta Bates
