ANNUAL SCHOOL WALK

On Friday 16^th July students and staff will participate in the Annual Sponsored Walk. Students leave school with the rest of their year groups from 8.45 a.m. in the morning. They then undertake to walk just over 6 miles to Little Harrowden Primary School, through some of the local villages and across many field. We have various check points along the route with staff supervising the students; many staff also walk with each year group. Please ensure that all permission slips are returned to the Finance Office, as students will not be allowed to walk unless these have been received.

Once they reach Little Harrowden everyone has a short break for lunch and the chance to catch up with friends.

At about 1.00 pm they set off for the same trek back to school. Once the students reach school, the canteen staff are on hand to provide refreshments.

Last year we raised a fantastic £4882. 40 which goes towards our minibus fund; we will be buying a new minibus in the new academic year. Let’s hope that we have lovely weather so that everyone can have a good day which is always thoroughly enjoyed.

School Transport 2010/2011   Provision of transport for students for the next academic year is currently being arranged and there are a number of seats still available at a total cost of £695.  If you wish your child to travel to and from school on a designated school bus and would like to know if your village/town is en route then please feel welcome to contact me, Mrs Kirsty Smith, in the Finance Office or e-mail me at ksmith@bishopstopford.com for further information.
