Lachlan Wright (Year 9)

“This year at Bishop Stopford my Maths skills have improved immensely. A year ago I never would have dreamed that I would be where I am in Maths now. The teaching is incredible and really well planned. They make the lessons enjoyable – so easier to remember.”

Sophie Imran (Year 7)

The Mathematics department recognise the importance of and beauty in Maths. We are all committed to getting students outstanding results. Maths lessons now incorporate functional skills as this will benefit our students in their future lives. Year 7 have one piece of homework a week and all other year groups have two pieces of homework per week; as a faculty we feel the regular consolidation of skills is vital to students’ future progress. As a faculty, we really enjoy solving Mathematical problems and try to encourage a similar ethos in our students.
