The Leisure/Travel & Tourism Department is proud of its achievements. Students take part in practical projects and visits to travel organisations as well as learning theory. A typical lesson would include a mixture of theory and practical work. Students work in groups as well as individually on their own controlled assessment work.
Key Stage 4
Students follow AQA Leisure & Tourism Double Award to GCSE at either Foundation or Higher level.
40% External Assessment, examined on 2 one hour papers – one in Year 10 and one in Year 11
60% Practical, examined through two Controlled Assessment tasks, based on visits to travel & tourism organisations
