“I really enjoyed the lessons on Global Fashion – I hadn’t really thought about where my clothes were made and what conditions people had to work in to make them”

“We made a film at home to show the effects of earthquakes – it was great fun and we showed it to the rest of the class as part of our presentation”

“The Povertee Day activities were really fun – especially the game with the biscuits – but it did make me think about who gets what in the world”

The Geography Department is proud of its achievements. Students take part in a variety of activities, including role plays, presentations, map interpretation, card sorts and ‘mysteries’ in order to develop their understanding of the world in terms of natural and human processes and interactions and key concepts such as interdependence and sustainability.
