Curriculum

For twenty five hours a week, students follow a broad curriculum at Bishop Stopford School. Their enjoyment of each subject is particularly important to us and we aim to help students to succeed through experiencing well-planned and delivered lessons in all areas.

Whilst there is limited choice in the curriculum in Years 7-9, students do have choices to make as to what they will study at GCSE level in Years 10 and 11. We also have a ‘core’ curriculum which all students follow in these years.

For the sixth form, there is an impressive range of subjects available.

The following pages give an outline of each subject available at school and the levels at which they are taught, as well as outlining some of the enrichment opportunities available within each subject.
