This course aims to be lively and interesting, illustrating the ways in which Chemistry is used in real life and the work chemists do. It is successful in bringing school Chemistry up to date by including the very latest developments in the discipline. An important feature of Salters Advanced Chemistry is the gradual introduction of ideas in a spiral approach.

During Year 13 (A2) there will be three further units studied.

Chemistry by Design:

  • Agriculture and Industry, Colour by
  • Design, The Oceans, Medicines by
  • Design

Skills for Chemistry:

  • Individual Investigations

Enrichment:The course can involve a trip to a blast furnace in Scunthorpe and a tour of a producer of bespoke polymers.
