4iP
Bishop Stopford is proud to be a lead school in the national Leading Edge Partnership Programme. (www.ledge.org.uk).
The Leading Edge Partnership Programme was established in 2003 to encourage schools to work in partnership to solve some of the most intractable problems in education.
The LEPP is now in its fifth year. It is a very significant investment in the secondary system. In some way or other over a third of all secondary schools in England are involved in helping to raise standards and transform education through this unique school-led approach.
A great many successes have resulted from the local and national collaboration of schools that have joined this innovative programme. Over the last two years visits to Leading Edge schools across the country have uncovered some outstanding practice and innovation.
‘4iP’ is the local name we give to Leading Edge, an innovative partnership between Bishop Stopford and four other secondary schools in the county:
- Friar’s Special School Wellingborough
- Lodge Park Technology College, Corby
- Unity College, Northampton
- Weaver’s School, Wellingborough
4iP works on key projects across the schools. These have included
- Raising achievement in Design and Technolog
- Raising achievement in Science
- Raising achievement in Mathematics
- Developing Middle Leaders
- Logistics
- Sustainability
