Trips and Visits

Year 7

All Year 7 students have the opportunity to attend a five-day residential course in Govilon, South Wales, where they experience a variety of outdoor and adventurous activities such as caving, rock-climbing, hillwalking and orienteering. The course takes palce from October to December at The Robert Jefferey Centre which is a residential Outdoor Education Centre run by Kettering Old Grammar School Foundation situated near Abergavenny. YEAR 8

All year students have the opportunity to attend a seven-day residential course in The Isles of Scilly where they experience a variety of outdoor and adventurous activities. The students camp on St Mary’s and are led by School staff to develop a range of academic and personal/social skills. A kit list document is available at the bottom of this web page.

YEAR 9

Students have the opportunity to choose from dry activities at the Frontier Centre, which could include Archery, High Ropes, Climbing, Mountain Biking, Down Hill Boarding, Abseiling, King Swing and Power Kiting or activities at Rutland Watersports to include Sailing, Canoeing, Kayaking and Raft Building.
