Community Sports Hall

The Lottery funded Community Sports Centre at Bishop Stopford School opened in September 1999. It is the result of several years of hard work by the Governors and Staff of the School and was assisted financially by Sport England, The Foundation for Sport and ths Arts and considerable donations from friends and associates of the School. The new sports hall will be a very valuable asset for curricular physical education in the schoof.

It is also intended to establish the sports hall as a centre for participation, teaching and coaching of sports for all sections of the school and community. The school, in conjunction with the Community Sports Development Officer, will be encouraging active participation and the development of sport within the community, Bishop Stopford Community Sports Centre will therefore be promoting the ethos of SPORT FOR ALL.
